After four decades of working as a commercial advertising photographer as well as a parallel career in higher education administration, the images herein represent the avocational; I am the ‘client’. I’m interested in creating images which evoke a sense of place and celebrate the coastal lifestyle. These are the waypoints of my journey. Through the use of digital manipulation, I hope to convey my personal visual interpretation of a subject rather than to simply create a photojournalistic record of it. I enjoy modifying the edges of a photographic image by using effects which blur the line between the paper and the image and by using non-standard (panoramic) aspect ratios.
